Our client is a successful online clothing company that has been trading for over 30 years. With 2 large operational sites, 1 in the Wiltshire area and 1 in Europe, they have been specialising in the screen and digital print industry for commercial and consumer markets.
With over 80 people on site in the UK, they have new role for a Management Accountant to join their busy head office in Wiltshire.
This responsible position will be supporting the Finance Director, optimising cost control and speed of reporting through granular analysis of data from their recently implemented ERP system.
They need the ideal candiate to have solid experience of monthly management accounting, which will include the following: –
Reconciliation of outbound distribution costs to income
Reconciliation of intercompany accounts
Ensure GRNI control account maintained on a timely basis
Prepare data for company KPI measurements
Variance analysis and investigation
In additional to the monthly accounts, they are looking for strong Stock Management experience, which will also include the following: –
Reconciliation of stock control accounts
Ensuring compliance with ERP system through control of stock adjustments
Check stock related price variances as they arise and validate new purchase prices
Ensure stock items carry correct trade tariff commodity codes
Roll out Return Material Authorisation process
You will need to possess sound VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales List experience and include the following: –
Prepare quarterly VAT Returns and submit to authorities via portal ensuring VAT liabilities are settled in a timely manner
Reconcile VAT Return to Nominal Ledger and investigate differences
Ensuring correct use of VAT classification by accounts payable staff
Prepare monthly Intrastat and EC Sales Lists
Prepare and submit statistical returns for ONS (UK) and CBS (NL)
Check 4-weekly payroll reports for Dutch subsidiary as provided by bureau and post to Nominal Ledger
If you have any previous experience if implementing new processes to capture margin analysis by Job and identify shortages in resource (labour and machinery) and determine optimum capacity levels, this would be very useful.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Management Accountant in a manufacturing environment and will be a part qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA) and have excellent IT skills (Office tools) and be an Expert Excel user.
You will have an excellent attention to details work with ERP systems and change management experience, along with stock control and WMS, VAT, EC Sales List and Payroll.
In return our client is offering a salary of £35k – £40k + excellent company benefits and company progression.
